Dotty began with a simple solution to what I saw as shortcomings
within my own closet — dresses with sleeves,
tops that hide my belly, tunics that fall over the muffin top,
and blazers that feel like cardigans.
The clothing also needed to be machine washable and wrinkle free,
because life is far too busy to get to the dry cleaners.
I design for real women living real lives, who need clothing for their every day.
I source comfortable, wrinkle free fabrics, that are low maintenance,
and sew them in a way that is figure flattering to all shapes and sizes.
Every Dotty piece is ethically made in Toronto, Canada,
at a local factory that pays fair wages
to it's amazing and talented staff,
ten minutes from my home studio.
Manufacturing locally, means I can maintain control over
production issues or make last minute changes,
as well as supporting the Canadian manufacturing industry.
I'm a wife, a mother of three, and a lover of vintage muscle cars,
ruffles, pearls, tattoos, laughing, and red wine.
