Canada doesn't have the massive garment industry it once did. Over the past few decades, many factories closed as production moved overseas where labour and manufacturing costs are significantly lower.
That means there are fewer local factories, fewer skilled sewers, and much less manufacturing capacity available. Every season, Canadian brands are competing for production time, and schedules fill up quickly.
Making clothing in Canada isn't as simple as placing an order. It's about building relationships, coordinating production, solving problems together, and working with people who genuinely care about the final product.

While not every overseas factory has poor working conditions, low prices are often made possible by producing clothing at an enormous scale with significantly lower labour costs.

That means we can:

It also means our production costs are much higher because we're not spreading those costs across hundreds of thousands of pieces.
