Drawing upon her rich background in fashion, which includes invaluable experiences working for various esteemed fashion houses, Heather possesses an innate understanding of what truly complements + fits a woman's body. Having navigated the joys of motherhood, she brings a refreshing perspective to her designs, ensuring they effortlessly enhance your gorgeous, badass 40+ bod.
Heather's dedication extends to sourcing the finest fabrics for her designs, all meticulously crafted right here in Canada. Beyond the studio, she is busy + happy with her 3 kids, husband, and black labrador Mildred. She has a love for cottaging, hanging with friends, walking Mildred, and of course drinking wine, wearing pearls, and checking out classic muscle cars. (one day she'll buy one!)
Sylvi - VP of Operations
Introducing Sylvi, our dynamic Vice President of Operations, the powerhouse driving the seamless functioning of our company on a daily basis. From overseeing operations at the factory to personally handling order fulfilment, Sylvi's expertise spans across every facet of our business.
As the backbone of our customer support, manufacturing, and quality control departments, Sylvi's dedication ensures that every aspect of our operations meets the highest standards of excellence. Whether managing social media engagements or tackling any task that comes her way, Sylvi's versatility knows no bounds.
A proud Torontonian, Sylvi's passions extend beyond the studio. From scouring thrift stores for unique finds to indulging her creativity through crocheting, she finds joy in life's simple pleasures. When she's not immersed in work, you can find Sylvi embracing the thrill of dirt biking with her siblings or swimming at the beach.

From pattern making to production, every step of the process – including pattern & marker making, cutting, sewing, and pressing – is meticulously handled by their team. This holistic approach guarantees consistently superior and ethical results, time after time. The quality of garments these ladies sew, is second to none.
Established in 1995, SHORT CUTS was born from a deep understanding of the needs of designers, specialty boutiques, and small clothing retailers. They recognized the demand for swift production turnaround times without compromising on quality, and rose to the occasion. The Toronto, ON based factory ensures all staff receive above-living-wage compensation, health benefits and industry-leading working conditions. Our products are ethically produced and will always be - this commitment means there are no child labourers in our factory, no dangerous working conditions, safety resources such as HR, etc.
