pretty clothes for real life
Dotty began with a simple solution to what I saw as shortcomings within my OWN closet - tops that flatter my belly, dresses with sleeves, and tunics that fall over the muffin top.
I design with a purpose - to flatter the female form while she lives her best life! You know...like eating, drinking, laughing with her best friends + of course feeling comfortable while looking stylish and put together.
I'm a wife, a mother of three, and a lover of vintage muscle cars, ruffles, tattoos, laughing, and red wine.
on trend, but not trendy
I source comfortable, wrinkle free fabrics, that are both stylish and fashionably current, and sew them in a way that is figure flattering to all shapes and sizes. I pay particular design attention to how the garments hang over the belly and back, to be flattering and comfortable, and concentrate on how they will fit into my customer's lifestyle. My mission in designing Dotty, is to make sure the garments are both flattering on the body, AND versatile for many occasions.
where the clothes are made
Every Dotty garment is ethically made in Toronto, Canada, at a local factory that pays fair wages to its talented staff, ten minutes from my studio. Manufacturing locally, means I can maintain superior quality control or make last minute changes, as well as supporting the Canadian manufacturing industry.
