    • Eco-Conscious Materials: It's important to us that most of our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified. This means the fabric is produced without harmful chemicals and dyes, and is safe to wear against the skin.
    • Fair Labour Practices: Every staff member at our Toronto factory receives fair wages, medical benefits, and the right to work in a safe, secure environment. We know every staff member by name and have worked with our factory for over 10 years.
    • Local Production: dotty is ethically + locally made right here in Toronto. This reduces the carbon emission associated with long-distance transportation and supports our local economy.
    • Zero Waste Hangers: Plastic hangers are collected in our studio and then returned to our factory for reuse, ensuring they are never discarded.
    • No Hang Tag Program: We ship all our garments without metal pins, paper or plastic attached to minimize the amount of waste.
    • Biodegradable Packaging: Every dotty purchase is shipped with a 100% compostable mailer, wrapped in acid-free, 90% recycled content tissue paper, and sealed with a recycled paper sticker.

    No need for a tailor!

    Having small hips and holding most of my weight in the tummy area, I gave up on skirts a long time ago, unless I have a very good tailor who could bring in everything to size. Also, I have stopped ordering clothes online with most businesses, because I can’t afford repeating the risk of refund shipping charges for sizing that is simply inconsistent . I was pleasantly surprised to find this skirt not only fits consistently to other Dotty clothes I own, but also accentuates all the right curves, regardless of any body issues.That also goes with every top I've ever bought from Dottie. It goes very well with my Dotty Satin and Lace Blouse of the same fabric. Love the tulip hem that tapers in slightly at the bottom of the skirt. It looks elegant with running shoes and a denim jacket and a casual tee. For reference: I’m 135 pounds and wearing the Small. Full disclosure: I’m not petite, nor did I lose any weight to fit into it! (I usually end up buying a large to fit the horrible waistband on most store bought skirts and taking everything in) Dotty does it again. She solves universal design issues and then stands behind the workmanship in case you want to visit her studio in person-Dotty and her team are just lovely whether by email or in person. The personal service and the quality workmanship together are a rare find today and in my opinion, worth every penny.

    Honestly, this skirt is a dream. It’s stylish, and also super comfortable with an elastic waistband. I am a size 14-16 and the xl fits perfectly:) not to mention it’s the best colour ever ❤️
